Chains.

So, recently I’ve been having thoughts on being limited, being stuck in one place. In a way, shooting yourself in the foot and screwing yourself over. Chaining yourself to the past or to the worst. It’s like a circle of suffering, finding out the worst of yourself and yet, you keep with it. Stay with it because you’re scared of changing or disappointing more people.

So many different reasons that I could list but I’m sure that if you know what I’m talking about, you might relate. The reason why I chose that picture is because that’s what I feel like I could associate ‘freedom’ with. Or maybe the feeling of being unburdened. Free to explore and do what you want with the sun at your back and lighting your way forward. But the true story behind all this is that none of this is easy. None of this can be cheated through or scammed through.

That feeling of being chained is because of things that may have happened in your life and they changed you for the worse. Changed you at a level that you never thought you could comprehend. Making you question who you are. Question what you’re doing with your life. Making you feel bad about anything and everything.

Going down that road…. it takes a lot out of you to get out. Sometimes, you just don’t. But you can’t let yourself stay there. Forget people saying it isn’t healthy for you or you’re ruining your life, etc, etc. Do it because you yourself deserve it. No matter what you feel or what you’ve done, yoe owe it yourself to break those chains and get out.

Go find that feeling of freedom.

Thanks for reading. I know that I’ve been taking a lot of breaks and I’m sorry. Honestly? That drive to write started to wither. Well, here’s to it hopefully coming back in full force.
