Friendship.

What is friendship to you? A way to know people and hang out with them? Is it a place where you feel like yourself? Is it a place where you finally feel free? I believe it is all this and so much more. Humans require socialization. We need someone to talk to. We may be an introvert or a loner but in the end, everyone talks to someone.

My friendship with people is the one thing that I believe I genuinely care about. I feel as though I would be able to do whatever is needed for my friends. I’m sure you have felt like that too. It hurts to see your friend in pain. You are willing to do anything to help them move past that pain. That is what makes you a great friend.

Other than caring, what is the next common thing that happens between friends? My answer? Fights. Over the most stupid things ever. As strong as your friendships may be, they can still be broken. A misunderstanding. A single word is misspoken. So many possibilities that could ruin your friendships. But you learn to move past it, right?

That doesn’t always happen. Sometimes you just cannot move past it. Friendships are built on trust. Once that trust is broken, it is extremely hard to build it back up. Sometimes, you just can’t build it back. Once that happens, you feel an emptiness within you. The same how you would feel if you go through a bad break-up. At its base level, friendships are relationships too.

I have always cared a lot about my friends. Recent events may have tried to change my stand on that but it won’t happen. Trust me. All I wish for is that you, my reader, are happy and are feeling better. If not, then go to that one person who you feel safe and happy with and just say whatever you want to say.

Thanks for reading.
